Cari grew up on a farm in northern BC. At the age of 4, she began playing piano. She discovered the world of the pipe organ in her later years of high school, and went on to study the organ in university. She attended Burman University in central Alberta, and graduated with both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Music in organ performance. Cari gained full scholarships to the University of Alberta in Edmonton and graduated with a Master of Music in organ performance. While in Edmonton, Cari was the organ scholar/assistant organist at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, and taught piano at Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts. Cari is now a doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto where she is pursuing a DMA in organ performance. When she is not busy practicing or working on her dissertation, you may find Cari doing some of the things she loves most, like hiking, reading, doing genealogical research, or drinking tea (yes! from a teacup) while watching period dramas.
