CarFit is a community-based educational program that allows older drivers to assess how they “fit” in their vehicles. It provides safety information and raises awareness of resources, such as adaptive devices, that can help drivers become more comfortable and confident behind the wheel. Its primary purpose is to educate drivers and share safety information. This is done through a 12-point Checklist that reviews important safety issues related to the fit between a driver and their vehicle such as mirror and stirring wheel placement. The CarFit team is made up of CarFit technicians and Occupational Therapists.
This is a free event and the CarFit will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
