Easter Sunday Service
Sunday, April 12th at 10:30 a.m.
Via Zoom or Phone
Minister:                        Dr. John Suk

Scripture:                       Mark 16:1-8
Sermon:                        When Life Interferes with Our Deepest Fears
This Sunday is Easter! And though we can’t be together to make the cross flower, as we usually do, I’m so pleased that we can be together on Zoom. LPCC members seem to have figured out Zoom without any large problems. This Sunday we will celebrate Communion, so come to the service with a glass of wine or grape juice, and a slice of bread. I think we’ll be surprised by how this familiar ritual can draw us together, even over the internet. We will also be joined by Dewi Sant United Church and their minister, Rev. Liz Mackenzie. She will offer a Welsh welcome and participate in the communion service. We hope that they will be able to offer a Welsh musical contribution as well to go with our choir—and our own Welsh Glynn Evans—singing the Welsh hymn “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah” (Cwm Rhondda). The message will focus on how even in troubled times, new life can surprise us! If you would like to read ahead, our scripture will be Mark 16:12-11.
