Matthew 20:1-16

The parable of the Labourers in the Vineyard tells of a landowner that gives a full days wage to the workers that have worked for a full day, a half day, a quarter day, and for only an hour! The workers who began at the beginning of the day are upset that those who have worked for an hour received the same pay as them, but the landowner asks them why should they be angry? They received what they were promised, and he has just been generous to the others, why should they feel an injustice for everyone to be given enough?

Living abundantly is much more than living for one's self. It's committing fully to the idea that everyone should have enough, and live well. We should find happiness in everyone's success, not just our own.
